The new spinal implant concept of FBC Device is pioneering in its design and movability. It potentially allows several advantages, such as:

• Natural spine position
• Minimisation of degeneration of adjacent joints
• Minimisation of reoperations

The spinal implant concept seeks to fuse one (or more) joints in the spine while allowing a natural spinal balance after surgery.

The concept is similar to the current leading standard; implanting cages to fuse joint, but in addition the initial dynamic properties of the FBC Device implant concept seeks to minimise the critical issue of adjacent joint degeneration.

The overall aim is to further improve treatment of degenerated spinal disorders and optimize functional outcome and life quality on a long-term basis.
