Since 1998 Lars has been involved in starting and investing in around 140 new companies of which 50 are spin out’s from university and hospital research. Before 1998 he among other positions was in charge of the profiling of university graduates and research towards the industry and managed a governmental cross institutional environmental research program. He chairs the branch organization for all Danish science parks and innovative incubators.

For his research Finn has received the prestigious International Society for the Study of the Lumbar Spine, ISSLS Volvo Award for his lumbar spine research in 1997 and again in 2007 for his low back pain research.
